We want to create a new PHP based billing software package for web hosts. There are currently about 4 well known commercial billing systems out there, and there a huge number of issues with them. From the full encryption of the code, to the lack of features being released in a timely manor.
So our aim is to provide a solid, modern billing platform for hosts. But in doing that we want to avoid the problems others have had in this market. Take a look below at the key features we'll be including as part of our offering, many of which our competitors cant do without a near full-recode of their software.
With full access to the core of the system, developers can provide hosts with excellent addons that can provide deeper functionality than in any other system.
Out of the box, both the client and staff areas of WHSuite will work great on your mobile device. Our design is fully responsive and user friendly.
We're committed to making WHSuite a fantastic product for professional hosts. Thats why we're including a long term support policy and regular, well tested releases.
We'll be including all the standard features you'd expect to see in a billing system, such as online payments, client area, support desk, etc. But lets dive into some of the key features and areas of the system that we think you'll love.
Perhaps the most vital part of your operation: getting paid. WHSuite’s billing core includes features such as multi-currency support, complete with optional daily synchronisation with the world markets, so you get accurate exchange rates for your clients.
Your online payments work with 3rd party payment gateways such as PayPal, Stripe and Authorize.net. We'll be adding more payment methods as we go along.
Other great features include promotion codes, multiple tax levels, transaction logging, a selection of beautiful order forms and more.
An intuitive support desk will be included with WHSuite, providing a user friendly interface for clients and staff to communicate. Things like different categories and email piping will also be standard features included in the support desk. You'll also have an advanced categorised knowledge base to provide pre-written guides to your customers.
A network monitoring tool will also be added further down the road, which will allow you to present a complete status board for your servers, with optional client access. Your staff can then log issues into your system, allowing you to keep a log of any outages or server maintenance.
Managing your clients from within your admin area couldn’t be simpler with WHSuite. You can access all the client details with a click of a button. We included the ability to trace transactions and every payment back to each client, as well as client credits so your customers can pre-pay for their next invoice.
The client interface can be easily integrated into your existing website and because our template system gives you access to PHP, you can perform near limitless modifications to the client frontend.
Don't you hate having to manually install and update the addons for your billing system? Well you won't have to worry about that with WHSuite. We're building a complete addon management system, where you can install and update addons directly from your admin interface.
So things like extra payment gateways, domain registrars or server modules can be installed at the click of a button. The best part is that because we can keep everything running as an addon, you don't have to have a bunch of server modules you aren't using installed. Just install the modules you want, and you'll help to keep your billing system fast, and secure.
We also plan on launching a marketplace where you can purchase and install any free or premium addons from third party developers from right in your admin area.

WHSuite is near ready to enter a public alpha stage. Our plans for this will be announced via our blog soon.
